No, not the ultimate weeklong college party, but the start of my army for the Epic Armageddon game system. As my fellow Leaguers know I'm a fan of the lower technological tier armies who count mass infantry assaults and artillery in their proverbial book of tricks, and as I've shrunk my gaming and investment down to 6mm sci-fi, 10mm WWII and fantasy and 15mm sci-fi for different types of actions (though my 28mm Renaissance and Napoleonics and gang warfare troops still lumber about waiting for game!) I opted for a force in Epic to achieve both these aims - I already have one of the largest collections of Eldar a gamer could want (approx ten complete armies fully painted....ya....) and repeating that with Orks and Space Marines is taking some time!
For Chaos I wanted a strong central detachment of the finest scum in the Universe but their list is simply too expensive to field them in any quantity - thus the idea to deploy a Renegade brigade of Imperial Guardsmen who provide my core Chaos troops with much needed presence - oh, and the armor and long range firepower the Chaos forces sorely lack!
I give you, the Renegade Alliance!
